Michael Mullaugh was appointed in December 2008 to fill vacated City Council Seat B and was elected without opposition in 2011 for a three year term and won again in 2014. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial and non-profit sectors.
After retiring from Mellon Bank where he managed a division of the Trust Department, Councilman Mullaugh became president of the Ruth Rales Family Service, a non-profit, non-sectarian provider of social services to south Palm Beach County. Mr. Mullaugh also served as an advisor to the Pennsylvania legislature on revising fiduciary statutes.
Councilman Mullaugh worked with the City’s Utility Department to bring reclaimed water for irrigation to the western communities of Boca Raton. He currently serves on the Florida League of Cities, Palm Beach County Water Resources Task Force and is a member of the C51 Reservoir Governance and Finance Work Group. He is committed to making the City more environmentally and economically sustainable.
Councilman Mullaugh holds both the Bachelor of Arts in economics and Juris Doctor from Duquesne University. Michael and his wife Donna are eighteen year residents of Boca Raton.
