Broward trio arrested in Boca
Boca Raton, FL – Parking lots are an easy target for thieves and Thursday night was no different. While members of the Boca Raton Police Services Departments TAC Team were conducting surveillance in the area of LA Fitness at 4950 Technology Way, they spotted a suspicious vehicle driving slowly around the parking lot. The three occupants of the black Mitsubishi, stayed in the car for more than 30 minutes. The trio then left and drove down Yamato Road to the Chevron station, again driving slowly by parked cars. TAC Team members kept an eye on the car, which again returned to the LA Fitness parking lot. This time, the driver of the car, later identified as Krystal Goldsby, got out and started looking into the windshields of other vehicles. She returned to her car, and opened the rear passenger door to talk with the passenger later identified as Kerwin Brown.
As TAC Team members approached the group they detected a strong smell of Marijuana coming from the car. Upon a search of the suspects, officers found a small amount of cocaine on the front passenger, Eddie Arrington. During questioning, the three said they were just in the parking lot to hang out. However, two of the suspects, Brown and Goldsby, said they went to the parking lot to break into cars. Arrington said he went along for the ride, and was just taking a nap in the back seat.
Goldsby was in possession of checks stolen from Coral Springs, and admitted to three burglaries that were committed in Broward County. All three were arrested for Conspiracy to Commit Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property. Arrington was also charged with Possession of Cocaine and Goldsby with Driving while License is Suspended with Knowledge. Because Goldsby is currently on probation in Broward County for Grand Theft, she was also charged Violation of Probation.
