Burglar identified through prints left at scene

Boca Raton, FL – On Thursday, November 21, Boca Raton Police officers took a report of a burglary to a residence in the 50 block of SW 9th Terrace.

The victim told officers that after being gone most of the day, she arrived home to find cracks in the glass of one of her a rear slider hurricane doors and several pry marks on the lock. The officer also observed several shoe marks on the door, indicating the suspect tried to kick in the door. Having failed to defeat the hurricane door and get inside the home, the suspect attempted to remove a flat screen TV mounted on the exterior wall of the enclosed patio, leaving two large handprints.

The latent handprints were analyzed and identified as belonging to Quinton Linton. Detectives filed for a warrant for burglary and criminal mischief and on December 3, Linton was arrested.
