Two more arrested after fleeing from police
Boca Raton, FL On Thursday, October 14, at 12:05 p.m., a witness called the Boca Raton Police Services Department and said he had just witnessed two black males who tried to burglarize his neighbor's house at 980 NW 6 Avenue.
The witness told dispatchers he was following the suspects, who were leaving the neighborhood in a purple Ford. One officer went to the residence and confirmed that the front door had been pried. Other officers located the vehicle traveling west on Palmetto Park Road approaching the I-95 interchange. Officers initiated a traffic stop shortly after the vehicle got on southbound I-95. However, when officers started to exit their vehicles to approach the suspects, the vehicle fled. The officers followed the suspect vehicle into Broward County and set up a perimeter as Broward Sheriff's Office deputies responded to assist.
The two suspects were apprehended in a neighborhood near Copans Road in Pompano Beach. Both suspects are charged with burglary to a dwelling in Boca Raton and are facing other charges in Broward County.
