Keep your holiday full of cheer
Boca Raton Police kick off crime prevention campaign
Boca Raton, FL – The day after Thanksgiving, traditionally known as “Black Friday,” is historically one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Starting this week, and continuing through mid-January, officers from the Boca Raton Police Services Department will step up marked and unmarked vehicle patrols, bicycle patrols, along with surveillance in retail areas throughout the City. In addition, the Boca Raton Police will kick off the “Keep your holiday full of cheer” campaign.
Considering the many distractions during this time of year, the campaign illustrates accountability, awareness and action through two videos and printed material. The first video features the holiday song “Sleigh Ride,” and emphasizes the importance of not leaving your valuables in your car while you shop. The other video was produced by our community partners at the Digital Media Arts College (DMAC) here in Boca Raton. DMAC students took our crime prevention tips and brought them to life through animation technology. The “Sleigh Ride” video will be featured throughout the holiday season along with trailers at Cinemark in Boca Raton. Both videos will also be featured on Boca Raton City Channel 20, Boca Raton Police Facebook and You Tube channels.
