Thief rockets out of mall with ring

Boca Raton, FL On Wednesday, November 17 at about 12:10 p.m., officers with the Boca Raton Police Services Department, responded to a report of a shoplifting that just occurred at Macy's, 5700 West Glades Road.


When officers arrived they met with Macy's loss prevention personnel. They told officers the white male suspect entered the store at about 11:45 a.m., through the north doors and walked directly to the fine jewelry department. The suspect asked the sales clerk to see an 18 carat gold diamond solitaire engagement ring, valued at $3,995. The clerk handed the ring to the thief, who immediately took the ring and ran out of the store.


Loss prevention personnel followed the suspect into the parking lot, where the thief got onto a blue and white motorcycle and fled east on Glades Road.


The suspect is described as about 6'1” tall, 170 pounds, short dark hair and wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.
