Boca Raton, FL – Late Sunday night, Boca Raton Police officers responded to a report of an audible alarm at A Pain Clinic, located at 7300 North Federal Highway. The responding officer found a window on the east side of the business pried open. Office manager Helen Garcia arrived on scene and after letting officers into the building, discovered the locked door to the medication dispensing office was kicked in and phone lines to the business had been cut.
A Pain Clinic co-owners, Dr. Robert Gerrer and Dr. Kenneth Jaffe, arrived on scene and provided access to the surveillance footage throughout the building. The video shows an unknown male wearing a black sweatshirt; black pants, gloves and mask enter the building. The suspect was carrying a crowbar and a two-way radio. After kicking in the door, the suspect then knocks down an alarm speaker box in the room. The video also shows the suspect briefly attempting to gain access to the safe by hitting it with a crow bar. Failing to get into the safe, the suspect leaves the business through the front door.
