Boca Raton, FL On Sunday, September 19, 2010 at about 2:10 p.m., officers with the Boca Raton Police Services Department responded to a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at Sally's Beauty Supply, 1950 NE 5th Avenue.

When officers arrived, they met with an employee of the business, Sarah Holbrook. Holbrook said that she was in the back room of the store and left the door open so she could see if any customers entered the store. At about 2:04 p.m., Holbrook saw a male standing near the register so she walked to the front of the store to greet him. As she approached the front, the male turned to her and said, Be quiet and open the cash register. Holbrook saw that the suspect was holding a silver knife, pointed toward her mid-section. She opened the register, and the suspect grabbed an undetermined amount of cash and walked out of the store. The victim was not injured.

Holbrook said she believes she has seen the suspect walking around the plaza over the last couple of weeks. If anyone has information about this crime, they are asked to call Detective Scott Hanley at (561) 338-1344 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS.
