Teenager robbed of cellphone

Boca Raton, FL – On Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 10:00 p.m., officers from the Boca Raton Police Services Department, received a report that a seventeen year old was robbed as he was walking on the sidewalk westbound on South Verde Trail from Town Lakes Drive.

The victim told officers that about 9:30 p.m., he was talking on his cellphone and noticed two black males walking behind him.  A short time later, he was struck on the back of his head by one of the suspects and a struggle ensued.  During the struggle, the victim dropped his cell phone, which was taken by one of the suspects.  Both suspects ran west on Verde Trail.

The victim went home and told his mother what had happened.  The victim and his mother went looking for the suspects and when they didn't find them, they returned home and called the police.
