Burglary victim struck by fleeing suspect's car

On Sunday, May 16, at about 5:45
p.m., officers from the Boca Raton Police Services Department responded to a
burglary to an automobile at the Mobil Station,
1459 West Yamato Road
, where the victim
was struck by the fleeing suspect's car.
When officers arrived, they met with the victim who said she was pumping gas on the driver's side of her vehicle when she noticed her passenger door open and a black male reach in and take her purse, which was lying on the seat. The suspect then got into the rear driver's side door of a waiting vehicle. The victim attempted to confront the suspect as the suspect vehicle was leaving the gas station and was sideswiped by the fleeing vehicle, causing her to fall to the pavement. The victim sustained minor abrasions and contusions.
The suspect is described as a black male, in his late twenties or early thirties, wearing a white t-shirt and an orange hat. The suspect vehicle is a teal, four-door, newer model Nissan Altima with dark tinted windows.
