Victoria's Secret underwear bandits charged
Aventura Police catch suspects in the act
Boca Raton, FL – Detectives from the Boca Raton Police Services Department have charged two men with Felony Retail Theft in connection with the theft of women's underwear from Victoria's Secret at the Town Center mall on two occasions in February. The charges come after both men were caught stealing from stores at the Aventura Mall by Aventura Police detectives.
Both men were wanted in connection with thefts from malls in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Arrested were Hector Collazo who was previously arrested in April of 2009 for grand theft from the Express and Gap stores at the Aventura Mall. Collazo is a known organized shoplifter who recruits members for groups that travel from Miami to New England, stealing large amounts of merchandise. Collazo refused to talk to Boca Raton investigators, but his partner, Carlos Ramirz Martinez admitted to stealing from the Victoria's Secret store at the Town Center mall on both occasions. He also said the duo shoplifted on other occasions from the Gap and Express stores at Town Center.
